Default Tourist injured in the USA

Can a tourist from another country that is injured in the US file for a personal injury case in the US?

I was somewhat seriously injured at a hotel pool by a defective water pump in the pool.
It's a long story.

Yes.

But you will need a personal injury attorney where the hotel is located.

I wish to inform you that forum non conveniens has jurisdiction in this matter in the Federal Court. The State Courts may or may not apply forum non conveniens to determine jurisdiction. You may contact an attorney and seek guidance.

Thanking you.

Yes you can file a personal injury case against the hotel in a court which has jurisdiction over the hotel. It is good to seek service of a lawyer to file the case.

YES but you also should have had travel or injury insurance if your policy at home does not cover such trips.

YES. any person can use the US courts, you do not have to be a US citizen.
But the events and parties involved need to be within the jurisdiction of the court.
A personal injury lawyer will take your case on contingency if the case is valid.
Consult a few PI attorneys to get their impressions about the case.
